Energy efficient Room Display

Case Study: Dublin Airport Terminal 2
|
|
Cylon releases an intuitive room display for an energy efficient fan
coil solution, the UCU Room Display. The room display has an integrated
space temperature sensor which measures the room temperature which is
then displayed on the wide LCD screen. Its intuitive interface allows
the occupants to view, monitor and adjust selected parameters such as
room temperature and fanspeed within the bands that they set. The occupant
can take control of the comfort conditions within the room. The UCU
Room Display is connected to an advanced energy efficient fan coil controller
which is part of the UnitronUC32 Building Energy Management System.

The
new second terminal at Dublin Airport will comfortably handle up to
15 million passengers per year bringing the total number of passengers
in Dublin Airport to 38 million per year. This 75,000 m² and three-storey
building will include 58 check-in desks and 9,000 m² of retail
and catering outlets. Due to our proximity to the airport, our on-site
support and our open strategy, the Dublin Airport Authority trusted
that the Cylon BEMS was the right solution for this state of the art
building. Our approved system integrator McCool Controls installed and
will maintain the extensive Cylon solution.

Smarter BEMS with new optimizer
|
|
Case study: Greenview Building, China
|
|
Time
control is an advanced function of a Building Energy Management System.
An optimizer loop is designed to calculate the latest switch-on time
and the earliest switch-off time for a plant as a function of the building
characteristics, the internal temperature, occupancy schedule and the
external temperature. Cylon has improved its heating optimizer and added
a new cooling optimizer to its UnitronUC32 controllers. The optimizer
learns and adapts over time and estimates the minimum start-up and maximum
shutdown periods for the heating and cooling plant. It ensures that
comfort conditions are reached with the minimum required energy consumption.

Greenview
Building is the first luxury green building in Beijing. It offers its
occupants a luxury environment and a low energy design. This large-scale
building complex comprises of 4 towers and has a total construction
area of 200,000 m². Two of the towers comprise a reception area, a shopping
center, a luxury office space and hotel accommodation. Our Approved
System Integrator in China CNA Co. Ltd installed the Cylon Building
Energy Management System which controls the lighting, air conditioning
and level of humidity and also monitors the energy usage of the different
activities within the building.

Cylon's
strategy is to provide our customers with an open system that is future
proof and with the right integration at the right level. As part of
this strategy we have developed a driver with Tridium, the global software
and technology company. Unlike other supervisors on the market, the
Tridium supervisor can be integrated with Bacnet, OPC, KNX, Modbus and
many more. Our advanced driver allows the Tridium supervisor to communicate
directly with our UnitronUC32 controllers. It allows it to view alarms
and datalogs and to change setpoints and time schedules.
