Case Study - AquapuraThe Irish government looks to new initiatives to reduce Ireland's energy usage and carbon emissions in order to bring the country in line with the EU standards. Therefore, the government announced in the Green Finance Bill their plan to offer tax incentives to encourage businesses to purchase energy saving equipments including Building Energy Management Systems. Businesses will benefit from taxable profits in the year of purchase. Low cost BEMS are often installed in buildings but this new incentive will encourage businesses to choose high quality BEMS allowing them to make long-term energy savings, reducing their annual running costs and energy bills. The Finance Bill specifies that Sustainable Energy Ireland (SEI) will hold the list of qualifying BEMS equipment. We are looking forward to the publishing of the final list later in the summer.
