Cylon BACnet Controllers Achieve BTL Certification

New range of native BACnet terminal unit controllers are now certified by BACnet Testing Laboratory as fully compliant with B-ASC requirements

Cylon's philosophy is to provide an open system which is compatible with international standards. BACnet is now being adopted by the market as the preferred standard for building services integration. In recognition of this market shift Cylon is pleased to announce the extension of its BACnet solution to a new range of terminal unit controllers for fan coil, chilled ceiling and VAV applications.

Cylon native BACnet controllers offer unparalleled flexibility and performance on an open platform. Importantly they can be engineered remotely over BACnet. This means that sites can be more rapidly commissioned with engineering of all terminal units from a single location rather than the traditional requirement to directly connect to each controller.

Cylon terminal unit BACnet controllers are certified by the BACnet Testing Laboratory as fully compliant with B-ASC requirements. Two new controllers are being announced.

The UCU10FC BACnet is a programmable unitary controller designed for use with fancoil and chilled ceiling applications. The Cylon UCU10FC BACnet can be used to control zones individually and is easily installed and simple to use.The UCU10FC BACnet is fully programmable to meet the most demanding zone control applications. Unlike many competitors, the controller can be re-engineered for specific applications over BACnet. The controller strategy can also be easily adapted for single or multi-speed fans.

The UCU10VAV BACnet is a programmable unitary controller designed for use with single duct and fan assisted VAV applications. With the ability to control single and multi zones, its versatility is a major attribute. Each Cylon VAV airflow sensor is factory calibrated at multiple pressure points. The UCU10VAV BACnet is fully programmable to meet the most demanding zone control applications. Unlike many competitors, the controller can be re-engineered for specific applications over BACnet. The Cylon VAV can be field adjusted during balancing to compensate for slight variations in box installation and type.
