Cylon Controls has announced their intention to form a Joint Venture (JV) in China with Sinosteel on June 23rd, 2014. The announcement was made during this week’s Enterprise Ireland trade and investment mission to China led by the Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD.
With more than 25 years’ history, Cylon Controls Ltd is the largest independent Building Management System manufacturer in Europe with rich experience in automation and Building Energy Management Systems. Cylon not only understands the buildings but also knows how to maximize energy efficiency.
Jin Zhe (Cylon China Chief Representative) said, ‘Cylon’s cooperation with Sinosteel will not only play a critical role in Cylon’s business development in China, but also enhance Cylon’s capability to expand globally. ‘
Speaking from Beijing where he is leading an Enterprise Ireland trade mission, Minister Bruton said: “This announcement by Cylon is a great example of what is possible for Irish companies in China. This is an Irish company, developing innovative technologies in the green energy area, winning contracts with leading Chinese companies and organisations, expanding its exports and creating jobs in Ireland. Improving supports for companies like this is at the heart of our Action Plan for Jobs, and I wish both companies every success with this venture”.
Cylon officially entered the Chinese market in 2010 and has achieved a number of strategic successes. Cylon’s product is installed in landmark buildings in Beijing and Shanghai (Beijing GreenPark View-the first commercial complex to win LEED Platinum Award in China; Shanghai Yuexing International Harbour – 680,000 square meters of commercial property). Cylon has also entered into strategic long term partnerships with Midea Air-conditioning, Philips (Lighting) Asia & Pacific, Protectwell (China) and Sinosteel.
