In 1852 The Sisters of Mercy founded the Mater Hospital as a charitable organisation. The Hospital was opened in 1861 and since then has become renowned both nationally and internationally as a University Teaching Hospital. With around 600 beds it provides not only a high level of patient care but also academic research and education to support evidence based practice. The Mater campus hosts a number of buildings that are home to different disciplines such as the medical school, Genomic research studies, a centre for nurse education, to mention a few. The contrasting departments and subsequent varying BMS needs of each meant that it was necessary to install the most flexible BMS available on the market.

“The Cylon BMS has been central to controlling energy costs and improving the reliability of our systems”
