Dashboards & Control
ASPECT®
ASPECT is an award-winning scalable building energy management and control solution, for full system management utilizing user-configurable dashboards to display/change point values alarms, schedules, graphics, trends, and system variables. Designed to allow users seamless access to their building data through standard building protocols (BACnet, Modbus, Ethernet, etc.) and common IT technologies available on a wide array of computers and smart devices, both iOS, and Android.
Energy Management | ABB Cylon® Active Energy
ABB Cylon Active Energy is an energy monitoring system that provides real-time (every 15 minutes) information on energy usage and consumption in a building. The toolkit includes tools such as charting, analytics, alerts, and flexible reporting, via simple and user-friendly interfaces accessible on any web-enabled devices. These tools allow the users to monitor energy performance in real-time, to receive alerts when a building's energy performance starts to drift, and, most importantly, to take any required action. Monitor performance at any time by accessing Active Energy on-line via any internet-enabled device.
- Equipment maintenance
Identifying operational problems early and correcting them reduces maintenance costs, alleviates unnecessary stress on adjacent plant, and prevents breakdowns which can interrupt business operations.
- Identify energy usage patterns and wastage with Active Energy
Analysis of usage patterns can help identify where equipment may have been scheduled incorrectly, where setpoints have been inappropriately set e.g. temperatures set without taking into account external temperature, occupancy numbers, time of day, etc. and may indicate where occupants are overriding the system or highlight instances of inefficient use of equipment e.g. heating and cooling running simultaneously.
- Delivery on Energy efficiency today and energy savings into the future
Preventing Building Drift with Active Energy Manager. Over time the energy performance of a building can drift away from its design intent, resulting in excessive energy consumption and rising energy bills. This typically occurs because; changes in building conditions, e.g. occupancy or schedules are not reflected in the control systems, set points have been incorrectly configured, equipment is being overridden to deliver instant occupant comfort, equipment & lighting have not been scheduled correctly, and maintenance on equipment is not being carried out resulting in energy being wasted on inefficient equipment
By continuously monitoring and managing a building (continuous commissioning), building energy drift of up to 20% per annum can be prevented.
Occupant user interfaces | eXplore
Put control in users' hands With on-site UI eXplore, users can easily manage operating parameters of the connected systems: monitoring values, equipment, and system status, viewing trends and active system alarms to perform diagnostics and take corrective actions such as overriding or adjusting setpoints.

Many campuses are a combination of new, aging, and historic buildings, with a proliferation of varying HVAC and lighting systems, and a blend of modern, outdated, or non-existent BMS systems. For facility management teams, managing many disparate systems is time-consuming, operationally inefficient, and potentially costly in terms of energy consumption and equipment maintenance. ABB Cylon smart building solutions integrate and simplify the control and management of campus BMS
